Graduate admissions tests can be daunting. A host of skills come under scrutiny and a great deal rides on how you perform. Our GMAT tutors and GRE tutors have a wealth of experience preparing graduates for the exams – and all have impressive track records.
Accomplished, lucid and patient, our GMAT tutors and GRE tutors will guide you through the admissions process and maximise your potential. Whatever your academic background, they will develop existing skills and plug any gaps in your knowledge.
Our extensive team consists of full-time professional tutors, highly qualified post graduates, and teachers at leading independent schools. Our London Tutors and Online Tutors have gone through a rigorous recruitment programme – a face-to-face interview, the provision of references, and DBS certification – and all are up-to-date with the latest GRE Test and GMAT Test developments.
How our GMAT tutors and GRE tutors prepare students
The GRE test and the GMAT test assess reading, quantitative and writing skills and it is often the case that graduates excel in one section but struggle in another. For example our GRE Math tutors quickly identify areas for improvement and design their lessons to help students excel on the quatitative (math) section. Whether you need extra Maths support from a tutor or help with essay writing, our GRE and GMAT tutors will craft their sessions accordingly.
Past papers and targeted one-to-one discussions form the basis of our tuition and tutors keep close track of their students’ progress through regular testing. Exam technique is also crucial. Both the GRE Test and the GMAT Test are long assessments and it’s important to know how to manage your time, how to stay focused, and how to overcome inevitable hurdles. Our tutors ensure all their students are familiar with the format of the exams and know exactly what to expect, allowing graduates to enter test centres feeling confident and assured.
We offer both face-to-face and online tuition, so if you do not live in London you can still access our outstanding services.
Online GMAT/GRE Tutoring option
Face-to-face teaching is not the only service we offer. For students who do not live in London – or indeed for those who do – our GMAT and GRE tutors also teach online via Skype and we currently have hundreds of students across the UK and abroad.

Testimonials
I am so grateful to Hampstead & Frognal Tutors for helping me prepare for the GMAT test. It was hard for me to find a good tutor until a friend recommended your organisation to us. I will definitely be referring my friends to you in future and of course seeking your assistance again if I need help on my MBA next year.

Exams we cover
The GMAT
The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a multiple-choice, computer-based exam that is required for admission to graduate business programmes – known as MBAs – in America. (The GRE is used for a wider range of graduate programmes).
The three and a half hour exam consists of analytical writing, integrated reasoning, and quantitative and verbal questions. The GMAT is famously suited to those with strong quantitative and analytical skills – candidates with excellent vocabularies often prefer the GRE. What’s more, unlike the GRE, the entire exam is non-calculator.
The GRE
The GRE (Graduate Records Examinations) is a standardised graduate admissions test widely used in the U.S. The exam consists of three parts –
analytical writing, verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning – and is just shy of four hours long. Our tutors can prepare you for all three sections of the exam or they can home in on certain areas.
Analytical writing is composed of two tasks: in one you analyse an issue and in the other you to analyse an argument. Meanwhile, the verbal reasoning section contains text completion questions, sentence equivalence questions and reading comprehension. Last – but certainly not least – is ‘quant’, which includes quantitative comparison questions and problem solving questions.
Much of the GRE is multiple choice and the test is taken on the computer.
